mind and body inseparable from spirit (white)
2022
oil on canvas
16 x 10 inches (40.64 x 25.4 cm)

The cone, rendered in these paintings as organically formed triangular vessels, is a geometric form that encompasses its point—"that which has no part," in Euclid's definition—from which infinity unfolds as its edges continuously expand outward. While the body is finite, consciousness is infinite; breath is the bridge that joins the two.

These paintings explore the cone as a metaphor for body, mind, and spirit: body as form, mind as boundless awareness, and breath as the living force that unites them. Developed through an ongoing process of painting and color experimentation, they are portraits of consciousness embodied—works in which body and mind are inseparable from spirit.
